The End of September

The end of September's Snohomish Art Tour always reveals a significant change; a season, so to speak. Not quite winter, but a direct road into the winter season. The tour was a grand success, meaning that the weather cooperated, the food was delicious and abundant, and the people flowed effortlessly through the Gallery, the grounds, and the studio. The event was officially the first gathering to take place since the completion of the renovation that occurred over the long summer days. I met many new people, and alongside familiar faces, artists, and neighbors, I delighted in their energy and appreciation of the day. The "Snohomish Bridge Reflection" (9 x 12) found a new wall after being raffled off on Sunday. I am eager to have more raffle opportunities with each event we host here at the Gallery. I will be traveling to my home in Iran in mid-October with a variety of canvas sizes and plenty of paint. I have other painter colleagues in Iran, and am excited to do a bit of traveling, in addition to catching up with family members. Sometime in December, we will have a showing of the work I bring back to the Gallery. Please stay tuned for updates regarding the new show. I will also continue to update this blog while in Iran and send some pictures as well. It is a country rich in culture, landscapes, and cityscapes, and I love to share through the lens of my camera and the lens of my eyes on canvas. Enjoy the changes Autumn is bringing, and nurture yourself and others with kindness.
